By Tengku Noor Shamsiah Tengku Abdullah SINGAPORE, March 19 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s Animasia Studio, one of the leading animation studios in Asia, will promote 'Bola Kampung – The Movie' at the upcoming Hong Kong International Filmart 2012, from today until March-end at the Malaysia Pavilion (Stand 1B-A07). It also announced that Bola Kampung, a popular animation series already in its 6th season, would be releasing its new feature animated movie title by year-end. 'Bola Kampung - The Movie', a production by Animasia Studio in association with Young Jump Animation, has already begun production. This state-of-the-art CGI movie, which is 100 per cent produced in Malaysia by approximately 100 Malaysian talents, is expected to gather much interest from family viewers, especially kids ranging in ages from six to 18, as well as young adults. This is due to the immersive and realistic audio & visual experience unlike anything you have ever seen in the Bola Kampung TV Series in the past on Disney Channel Asia and Cartoon Network Asia over 16 Asian countries. Bola Kampung tells an exciting story about the virtual game world of the adventures of Amanda and Iwan on their quest to search for the legendary 'Suria Warrior', as they fight the evil assassins and defeat the evil virus. Animasia Studio managing director Edmund Chan said: "Similar to Hollywood-based animation movies, Animasia will be casting an A-Class list of voice talents who are Malaysia’s top celebrities, including popular local musicians, composers, models and various actors/actresses. "I am confident, with the coming-together of top talents of producers and celebrities in the movie will certainly enhance the high quality and professionalism of the premiere animation movie," he said in a statement here Sunday. Popular celebrities who have lent their voices to bring life to the characters include Ezlynn, Afdlin Shauki, Harris Alif, Aznil Nawawi, Douglas Lim, Baki Zainal and Rahim Omar. National Film Development Board Corp director-general Mohd Naguib Razak said, he was pleased to see the trends of the Malaysian animation industry grow, where increasingly, more and more leading-edge animation titles were being released onto the big screens worldwide. -- BERNAMA
