CH.SAIKHANBILEG RECEIVES MLTR BAND

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Head of the office of the Government Ch.Saikhanbileg has received a members of "Michael Learns to Rock /also known as MLTR/". The Danish pop band gave two concerts in Ulaanbaatar December 7 and 8, as part of their Asia tour. Ch.Saikhanbileg said young Mongolians are very well informed of the latest music and trends and listen the freshest hits, and asked them how they feel here in minus 38 degrees after arriving from plus 30 degrees of Indonesia. Then he spoke about Mongolian climate, history, culture, people's statecraft, development of democracy, some important activities of the new cabinet. He wished the musicians a success here and presented national souvenirs. The “Michael Learns to Rock” has made a tour concerts over 20 countries. Formed in 1988, the band has sold over 11 million records worldwide, mainly in Asia, in addition, another 6 million or more paid downloads for their single "Take Me To Your Heart", which was awarded "most downloaded single of the year 2006".
