Creative Activists Can Market Malaysia's Uniqueness To The World

CYBERJAYA (Malaysia), Oct 18 (Bernama)-- Selling the uniqueness of Malaysia is a big potential which can be explored by local creative content activists, says the Communication and Multimedia Commission. Its chairman Mohamed Shahril Mohamed Tarmizi said national creative contents industry entrepreneurs had yet to fully explore and exploit the uniqueness of the country including its environmental beauty, interesting places, cultural riches, multi-racial traditions and religious tolerance. He said, in the effort to become Asia's creative hub, creative content activists should also learn how to market their products to the international level. "Local production companies must turn out products which can be marketed globally and not only for the local market or community. "Creative content industry entrepreneurs must also be daring to explore numerous aspects in marketing including involving new information and ideas if they want to compete globally," he told Bernama here Thursday. He said, the quality of creative contents such as film production, television programmes, documentaries, animations, designs and digital contents could exhibit the national capabilities in the eyes of the world. -- BERNAMA
