Farhadi's Film Shines In Durban Festival

Pretoria, South Africa, July 29, IRNA - Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi’s latest production The Past won the best script at the 34th Durban International Film Festival late Sunday. Some 74 feature, 48 documentary and 45 short films were screened during the 11-day event opened in Durban, South Africa, on July 18. The event wrapped up on July 28. Farhadi’s immigrant romantic drama depicts the story of an Iranian man who deserts his French wife and two children to return to his homeland. When he comes back to Paris upon his wife's request for a divorce encounters with a complicated situation of the family there. The Past is Farhadi’s sixth experience and first one in a foreign country that was shot in the French capital, Paris./end
