Film On Imam Hussain's Mourning, Ready To Be Screened

Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA – A short feature film called 'Seda-Khasteh' (Tired Voiced) with a theme on mourning ceremonies of Master of Martyrs Imam Hussain (P), directed by young and talented director, Mohammad-Reza Shahbani-Nouri is ready to be screened. Announcing the news in an interview with IRNA English Desk, Nouri said that 100 students of acting have played in the 30 minute film's 10 sessions of film taking, which took about a month to be completed, and a copy of its final version with English closed captions, by IRNA's Seyyed Nader Amouzegar, was lately delivered to the Center for Documentary and Experimental Cinematography for supervision. The main role actors and actress in the film include Ya'qoub Ghaffari, Hossein Ja'fari, Padina Rahnama, Hassan Khansari, Mas'oud Zamani, Mohammad Yarahmadi, Seyyed Hadi Mirtoushe, Amin-Mohammad Nasr-Esfahani and honorary staring of Mohammad Haji-Hosseini. The film is about Haji Hamed, a reciter of mourning hymns for Imam Hussain (P) who has due to a throat problem lost almost all his voice. Hamed who had in the past promised his young and most beloved wife to recite for Imam Hussain's martyrdom during the mourning month of Muharram, but is apparently not able to keep his promise during this last Muharram of his life… Seda Khasteh is the 14th short film directed by Mohammad-Reza Shabani-Nouri, who in addition to directing has a long record of acting ever since very young teen years of his life, such as in Daryoush Mehrjou'ie's Pear Tree. His latest acting part is the first role actor in a war genre film, 'The General' directed by another famous director, Ali Shah-Hatami. He considers working with Shah-Hatami 'a new birth' for himself, and a big pride, particularly more so as this his first role as a first role actor. Nouri says, 'When the Iraqi imposed war bean I was just born, but after acting in Mr. Shah-Hatami's film I gained a better insight about the prevailing atmosphere at the warfronts then, and I feel I have thus paid my debt to the Sacred Defense cinema.' 'General' is a tragic-comedy telefilm whose production by Shah-Hatami has recently been completed. Nouri also has the record of acting in Mohammad-Ali Najafi's memorable 'Eshq-e Taher' (Taher's Love), which he says 'was and influential film which can be admired still for many years to come.' Nouri who had before the 'General' played in three other war genre films, says, 'The factor that truly pleased me in this films was working with an expert director, Mr. Shah-Hatami, in a war genre film, playing a role that any actor dreams of acting.'/end
