Hungarians enjoy Iranian films

Belgrade, Nov 11, IRNA - Hungarians who love Iranian films, art and culture welcomed the Festival of Iranian Films which opened on November 9 in Budapest, Hungary. The event is organized by the Iranian Embassy in that country. The first night of the films started in Budapest’s Örökömozgó cinema screening Majid Majidi’s ‘Children of Heaven’. The flick was warmly welcomed by the Hungarians as well as the Iranians residing in the country. In the opening ceremony of the festival, the representative of the Embassy official Esmaeel Ebrahim Zadeh talked about the Iranian cinema industry and the works of filmmakers who have bagged several awards in international festivals. Eight Iranian films; ‘The Color of Paradise’, ‘Mum's Guest’ and ‘The Bus’, holding Hungarian subtitles, will be screened each Sunday./end
