Iranian Film ‘Sound Of Rain’ Grabs French Festival Award

Tehran, Aug 6, IRNA – Iranian film ‘Sound of Rain’ directed by Jalal Saed-Panah won the public award of the French Festival titled ‘One Country, One Film’ which was held in France in July. The film was screened in the competition section of the festival, warmly welcomed by the audience and selected as the best from among 47 European, Asian and American films. The festival has no jury and the films are judged by the audience. Some 47 short narrative, animation, documentary and experimental films were screened during this year’s festival held in the village of Apchat, France. The main goal of the festival is cultural exchange among countries. Diversity regarding the origin of films is the number one criteria for selection. No more than one film is selected from every country represented. The films selected will thus represent their countries at the festival./end
