Japanese Director To Include Sarawak Beauty In Upcoming Thriller

KUCHING (Sarawak, Malaysia), March 14 (Bernama) -- A film production company, 42nd Pictures, will be incorporating Sarawak's beautiful landscapes in their upcoming a psychological thriller movie which will start shooting in April, the film director, Yasu Tanaka, said here, Thursday. He said Sarawak, one of the two Malaysian states on the island of Borneo, had a lot to offer in terms of filming locations and the places that he had visited in the state so far augured well with his upcoming project. "The movie will take one month to shoot and will involve mostly local actors and production team, but we will include a famous actress from Japan," he said at a press conference here. According to him, one of the places that the film will be distributed internationally is Japan where a deal has been struck with a film distributor there as part of a plan to promote the movie and Sarawak as a film hub for movie makers. Also present at the press conference was the Head of National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) Sarawak, Mohd Subri Abdul Ghani. -- BERNAMA
