Malaysia-Brunei National TV Stations Jointly Air 'Spektra Muzika' Concert

KUALA LUMPUR, May 13 (Bernama) -- The 'Spektra Muzika' entertainment programme goes on air with a lively style Tuesday night that showcases the performances of artists from Malaysia and Brunei depicting their culture and music arts. The programme was telecasted live by two national television stations, namely Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB) via channels V1 RTM for Malaysia and RTB2 RTB for Brunei. The Malaysia-Brunei joint programme, being held for the second time, took place at Auditorium Perdana, Wisma Radio, Angkasapuri here. Malaysia's Communication and Multimedia Minister, Ahmad Shabery Cheek (fourth from left) and Energy Minister from Brunei Darussalam's Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Setia Dr Awang Mohammad Yasmin Umar (fifth from right) were present to witness the show. With the concept of Malaysia and Brunei rhythmic variations, the concert accentuated the equation of the two countries' root culture and music arts through joint artists performances. It presented prominent Malaysian artistes such as Jaclyn Victor (third from right), Asmidar, Haziq, Bob Yusof, Waris, Lan Kristal and Dewi Liana while Brunei brought in its top entertainers like Aslinda Taib, Juan Madial, Siti Noriana, Rafis, Voon Voon and Isamuddin. The singers from Malaysia and Brunei then jointly belted out the 'Assalamualaikum' song which was originally sang by popular Malaysian singer Faizal Tahir. (photoBERNAMA) -- BERNAMA
