Spring Festival to Go Ahead in Souq Waqif on Feb.15th

Doha, February 07 (QNA) - Souq Waqif administration announced on Tuesday that heritage, cultural and entertainment events will take place during the Spring Festival that is to be held on Feb.15-29. Souq Waqif Director Mohamed Al-Salem said that Spring Festival will go ahead as planned except for the song festival that will be canceled in solidarity with the Syrian people given the escalating events in Syria. Al-Salem said that the festival aims to create an atmosphere that attracts the young and the old alike and let them spend a good time and put smiles on their faces. Souq Waqif administration holds festivals on regular basis where shows from the different world countries are performed. (QNA)
