Four Licenses Granted during Saudi Special Economic Zones Investment Forum
Riyadh, May 29, 2023, SPA -- The Minister of Investment and Chairman of the Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority (ECZA), Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, emphasized today that the economic zones in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are integral to a comprehensive approach to enhancing the country's position as a leading global investment hub. These zones provide an ideal platform for companies across various sectors and industries to intensify operations and expand internationally.
Al-Falih made these remarks during his speech at the Special Economic Zones Investment Forum, organized by ECZA in partnership with the Saudi program to attract regional headquarters of international companies. The event took place at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Riyadh.
The Secretary of ECZA, Nabil Khojah, highlighted that the newly established special economic zones have successfully attracted billions of riyals in investments within a record time. He expressed optimism that more investments will flow into these zones in the coming period. Khojah emphasized the significance of this phase in presenting new opportunities to international investors and showcasing Saudi Arabia's potential as an economic powerhouse strategically located at the heart of global trade routes.
During the forum, four licenses were granted to the special economic zones in the King Abdullah Economic City, Ras Al-Khair, Jazan, and the Cloud Computing Special Economic Zone.
