‘Earthquake threatens lives of millions in Tehran’

TEHRAN,June 25 (MNA) – The deputy director of the International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology said that a possible major earthquake threatens the lives of millions of people in Tehran Province. “Considering the large population of Tehran and a multitude of faults (in Tehran Province)…, the danger of an earthquake is very serious… and common sense says that the possibility that a (major) earthquake may occur should be taken seriously,” Mehdi Zare said on Sunday.
