‘Executive-Legislature cooperation in line with royal directives’

Manama, May 19 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, has stressed that constructive cooperation and continuous coordination between the Legislature and the Executive are in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and contribute to consolidating the kingdom’s democratic experience. Al-Saleh also praised the constant follow-up by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, on efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two branches. This came as Al-Salah received here today Parliament Affairs Minister, Ghanim bin Fadhul Al-Buainain. The Shura Council chairman lauded the high-level cooperation between the two branches during the first session of the Fifth Legislative term, which, he said, resulted in approving many laws that will contribute to supporting the national legislative system. Al-Saleh praised the key role played by the Parliament Affairs Minister, citing his keenness to attend the Shura Council’s sessions to answer members’ questions, and coordination to ensure the presence of ministers, senior officials and representatives of the government during those meetings. Al-Buainain valued highly the efforts exerted by the Shura Council members during the sessions. The minister also stressed the government’s keenness to continue cooperation and coordination with the Shura Council in order to meet the aspirations of HM King Hamad and the people of Bahrain through passing more laws and legislation that support sustainable development and bring about more progress.
