‘Ganja residents strongly condemn the unrest committed by radical religious groups in the city’

Ganja, July 11, AZERTAC “Ganja residents strongly condemn the unrest committed by radical religious groups in the city. The city intellectuals were deeply saddened by the events that took place on July 10 in Ganja,” dean of the History Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, professor Azad Bayramov has told AZERTAC. “The course of events showed that this is a purposeful crime planned in advance by some unknown forces against our statehood.” “Ganja has historically been a center of revolution but its residents have always fought against foreign invaders,” he said. “All Ganja residents, including intellectuals believe that such tendencies of the radical religious forces will soon be prevented. We once again resolutely curse the perpetrators of such incidents, the bloody unrest resulting in the killing of two police officers,” professor Bayramov added.
