‘Gobi Wolf-2019’ takes place in Dornogobi aimag

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. ‘Gobi Wolf-2019’ international exercise is to take place in Dornogobi aimag between September 9 and 21. For the 8th year since 2009 the international exercise is being jointly organized by the National Emergency Management Agency, the Embassy of the United States and the United States Indo-Pacific Command in aims of preparing countermeasures for disasters and hazards that occur in Mongolia, training corresponding disaster and emergency personnel, and sharing experiences with experts of other countries. With the increasing number of seminars, training and activities planned for the ‘Gobi Wolf’ exercise, the number of participants from countries have been also increased. While the exercise was attended by 13 countries in 2017 and 16 countries in 2018, there are over 300 representatives of 21 countries, such as Australia, Canada, Chile, Hungary, Japan, New Zealand and Sri Lanka, participating in the exercise this year in 2019.
