“The Blue Feeling of Death” on underage killers to go on stage for charity

TEHRAN,June 16(MNA) -- A theater troupe will perform “The Blue Feeling of Death”, a real-life drama about Iranian underage killers, this week in Tehran to raise funds for the Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center (JCRC). Amin Miri will direct the play at the Arasbaran Cultural Center on June 18. “The play is based on a real-life story and all the characters are also real,” Miri told the Persian service of MNA on Saturday. The play was staged at the 16th International University Theater Festival in Tehran in May. Sajjad Afsharian spent two months during the last summer studying to write the play, Miri said. Rehearsals commenced in late August and finally the play premiered at Tehran’s Sureh Hall in March 2013, he added.
