“The White Forehead” being voiced for Azeri speakers

TEHRAN,July 8(MNA) -- A group of Iranian voice actors has been hired to dub “The White Forehead”, a musical fantasy based on Iranian folktales, for Azeri speaking people. The group, which is being directed Saeid Bahrololumi, has recently commenced dubbing the film, director Seyyed Javad Hashemi told on Saturday. All 14 songs for the film, which is scheduled to premiere in October this year, will also be translated into Azeri, he added. The provinces of West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Ardebil, and Zanjan are the major centers of the Iranian Azeri speaking population. However, a couple of hundred thousand Azeri people are also living in other Iranian provinces. “A movie theater in Tehran may dedicate one of its screenings to the Azeri people,” Hashemi said. The film is about the White Forehead, a gazelle that lives with its nasty father in a forest. The White Forehead decides to flee home due to its father’s volatile temper. Tarlan Parvaneh, Amin Hayaii, Nilufar Khoshkholq, Gohar Kheirandish and Mohammadreza Sharifinia are the main members of the cast for the film.
