“Judicial office” is opened in Eurasian National University
Astana, November 18, 2009 (Khabar) - Student lawyers of Eurasian National University starting with the first course, can now try himself as prosecutors, judges and lawyers. Now future lawyers can reinforce the theoretical knowledge of legal practice during training trials. Chairman of the Supreme Court Musabek Alimbekov, members of Parliament and legal scholars have attended opening ceremony of “Judicial office”.
Arthur Baimakhanov, graduate of Gumilyov Eurasian National University:
- This cabinet gives us a very great experience to see in practice the trial process itself and to apply this theory and knowledge which we studied in practice.
The Supreme Court of the country and the Eurasian University have signed a memorandum of cooperation. Plan of future cooperation is built on the basis of the Concept of Legal Policy for 2010-2020 and the Strategy of Judicial Education of the Supreme Court. The document mainly aims at training highly qualified lawyers.
Musabek Alimbekov, chairman of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan:
- We are in the process of renewal and of course the new challenges of our time require formation of a new generation of specialists.
Aueznur Kazhenov, cChairman of the Union of Judges of Kazakhstan:
- Eurasian National University has great potential in terms of research, including legislation and other acts. I think that such cooperation, interaction will benefit for the judicial system.
