“Nur Otan”: corruption fighting

Astana, May 15, 2009 (Khabar) - Public councils on corruption fighting created two years ago under “Nur Otan” party are popular among the people. Members of the party and representatives of disciplinary council on state service have said this at the joint sitting in Petropavlovsk. 116 people had addressed to the public council in North Kazakhstani region since the beginning of this year. Their problems are different: employer doesn’t give a salary, complaints for work of law enforcement bodies. The attendees of the sitting have considered results if inspections of realization of “Eight ethic norms of state employee” suggested by the head of the state during anti-corruption forum of party last November. Several employees were drawn for the responsibility for abuse of power, violation in sphere of healthcare and education, illegal using of land lots.

- I think material of public council are timely and necessary because people can’t find concrete solution of problem for 2-3 years in sphere of civil, judicial, economic and other issues. Correspondingly, instances pass these documents to each other. Then the documents are lost or non-concrete answers are given. That’s why people have to address us, various categories of people address public councils, even prisoners.
