“Zhas Ulan” republican school celebrates 10th anniversary
Astana, November 05, 2009 (Khabar) - In Astana, school that is named after Hero of Soviet Union, Khalyk Kaharmany, army general Sagadat Nurmagambetov has celebrated the anniversary with oath taking and festive concert. The deputy minister of defense, first heads of the school, veterans of World War II and warriors of Afghani war became the honorary guests of “Zhas Ulan”. About 400 pupils study here now from all regions of Kazakhstan. They pass program of secondary school from 5 till 11th forms, learn languages, military discipline and intensively engaged into physical training. They also pass flying training at light-engine aircrafts and receive pilot certificates. Graduates of “Zhas Ulan” continue studying at the higher educational institutions of our country and abroad and serve in Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
Nurlan Dzhulamanov, deputy minister of defense of RK:
- Our young officers demonstrate high result. The tactical exercises “Interaction-2009” were held this year with participation of heads of states, supreme commanders-in chief and the exercises were highly valued and it was ordered to encourage the personnel. It demonstrates coordination of actions of our unions and parts. I would like to say the Armed Forces of RK made the foundations of those manoeuvres.
Atygai Balgabekov, deputy head of “Zhas Ulan” school on education:
- 10 years is a short period of time but during this period we managed to hold 8 graduations and 380 people finished our school. About 80% of our graduates study at the higher educational institutions of RK, RF, Belarus and far-away foreign countries. Our first graduates are already officers and now they serve their country.
