100th anniversary of Abdilda Tazhibayev

Astana, October 01, 2009, Khabar – Commemorating evening dedicated to 100th anniversary of prominent writer, poet and playwright Abdilda Tazhibayev has been held in Astana. He is one of the prominent figures of Kazakh literature, and his creative activity reflects ideas of renewing of literature and its development. He was contemporary of such famous literary men, as Tair Zharokov, Kazhim Zhumaliyev, Zhumagali Sain and they considered Tazhibayev to be the continuator of best traditions of Kazakh literature. The meeting that has been organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information, became paying homage to creative activity of writer and demonstration of his creative heritage.

Rustem Abdildauly, son of a writer:
- Everybody loves his father but it is important for me that people also love him. It is very important for me that people love and remember him after his death. I feel by today people didn’t forget him and his books are published and his poems are recited and it is really very pleasant for me.
