10th ICIM meeting kicks off in Tehran

Tehran, Dec 3, IRNA – The 10th meeting of the Islamic Conference of Information Ministers inaugurated here Wednesday with an address by First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri. A large number of information ministers from Muslim states are attending the two-day ministerial meeting at Azadi Hotel in northern Tehran. 'Media Convergence for Establishment of Peace and Calm in Islamic World' is the motto of the meeting. The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Madani is also attending the gathering. During the inaugural session, Iran will receive the presidency of the 10th ICIM meeting from Gabon that presided over the 9th meeting. The ICIM expert meeting was held on December 1-2. IRNA is the host of the 10th ICIM meeting. The language of the conference is Persian with simultaneous translation into Arabic, English and French./end
