150 plays submitted to intl. competition of Fajr festival

TEHRAN,Dec.19(MNA) -- The 31st Fajr International Theater Festival received 150 submissions to the international competition from Iranian and foreign theater troupes. The selection committee of the festival has recently begun reviewing the plays, coordinator for the festival’s international affairs Ali-Akbar Tarkhan said in a press release on Tuesday. “Due to the composition of the committee, the festival will witness a varied and stimulating assortment of plays this year,” he added. The lineup for the international competition will be announced in ten days, Tarkhan stated. Saeid Keshan-Fallah is the secretary of this edition of the festival, which will be held in Tehran from January 15 to February 1.
