17th National Angling Contest Held

Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- The 17th national angling contest took place in Lake Kyongam in Sariwon City on Thursday. It brought together 60-odd anglers selected from the members of the anglers' associations in Pyongyang and all provinces. Rankings were decided according to the number and total weight of fishes caught within a given time. Choe Yong Chol from North Hwanghae Province won the prize for the first place. Meanwhile, 300 kinds of 3 200 fishing tackles were submitted to an exhibition of inventions on fishing tackles held that day. At the exhibition, South Hwanghae Province, Pyongyang City and Nampho City, which sent in various kinds of convenient fishing tackles, came first, second and third respectively. -0-
