23 new schools opened in South Kazakhstan region

Shymkent, September 01, 2009 (Khabar) - On the first of September, the South Kazakhstan region will witness the commissioning of 23 new schools and it is planned that another 19 will be commissioned by the end of this year.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Education and Science Minister of RK:
- The South Kazakhstan region is facing a lack of schools. However, when the head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev, pays so much attention to the population of Kazakhstan, such issues will be solved.

The construction of schools is included in the three year plan of the development of the region.

Askar Myrzakhmetov, head of South Kazakhstan region:
- We have developed a plan, which is directed at solving this problem. And in accordance with this plan we are to construct new schools.

At the same time, it is planned to equip the schools with modern facilities. Only this year, schools received equipment for 37 language laboratories and biology classes and over four hundred interactive whiteboards. Officials of the region allocated over 45 billion tenge to the education sector.
