250 kgs of crystal meth seized on south-bound train

RATCHABURI, Feb 6 (TNA) – Police arrested three suspects for transporting 250 kilogrammes of crystal meth, also known as ice by train. The other suspect is still at large. The illegal drug, destined to the southern province of Songkhla was discovered on a Bangkok-Sungai Kolok train by railway police on Monday. During a search on the train, the police checked five suitcases and four rucksacks and found 250 kgs of ice in total. No one claims to be the owners of the luggage but four men hurried to get off the train and ran into the Baan Pong market in Ratchaburi. The police this morning tracked them down and detained three men, aged between 21-28 years. They confessed to being hired by a man to deliver the illegal drug from a northeastern province by a bus to Bangkok. They took a train to the South, where someone will pick up the illicit drug from them. When the police searched the train, they fled to stay at a rental room before the police found them. This large haul of crystal meth has a street value of more than one billion baht. (TNA)
