3rd International Gas Processing Symposium 2012
Doha, February 19 (QNA) - Qatar University s Gas Processing Center is organizing its 3rd International Gas Processing Symposium. This symposium is intended to be a primary event in the area of gas processing in the world by attracting international scholars and key industry leaders.
This 3rd International Gas Processing symposium will include plenary sessions presented by key industrial senior management, keynote speakers, technical sessions, and paper presentations. In addition, there will be pre-symposium workshops and post symposium trips to Qatari Industrial Cities known to host the biggest
production trains in the world.
Despite its position as a world leading supplier of natural gas and gas products, Qatar is looking at supporting the diversification of gas utilization and the advancement of new efficient and greener technologies in order to promote economic development and move towards sustainability in its global sense.
The event will discuss environmental sustainability including Greenhouse gases (GHGs), VOC emissions, Flaring; Clean production and efficient use of natural resources and energy applications; Sustainable technologies for carbon sequestration and utilization; Efficient Utilization of natural resources (Feedstock, Energy, H2O, etc); Assessment of sustainability and life cycle analysis; Technological and Natural Disasters.
Participants will as well discuss themes related to Asset Management, Process Safety, Supply chain & enterprise integration and Gas Processing Technologies (GTL, Petrochemicals, LNG and Gas to Power.)
The symposium will include oral and poster presentations, keynote speeches, workshops and an exhibition on advances and experience in operational excellence of gas processing plants, energy and mass conservation in gas processing plants and design for sustainability. (QNA)
