8th Constituent Judicial Session for Military Prosecution officers kicks off

Manama, Jan. 14 (BNA): Under the patronage of the Defence Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary, Major-General Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the eighth Constituent Judicial Session for Military Prosecution officers kicked off here today, with the participation of 39 officers from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the military and security bodies in the kingdom.   The undersecretary delivered a statement in which he welcomed the participating officers from the GCC and Bahrain, wishing them a successful session.   He asserted that the session is in line with the keenness of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) to cooperate with the military judicial entities of brotherly countries’ armed forces, commending the efforts exerted by the Military Judicary to hold regular judicial and legal courses.   He expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the BDF Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, for his unlimited support for the military judiciary and keenness to harness all potentials to ensure the success of the military judicial session.   The BDF military judiciary has been organising several courses for the members of the armed forces in the GCC (officers, non-commissioned officers and individuals) in the field of judicial and legal work since 2007,   Since 2002, Bahrain’s military judiciary has been a leader in the field of training law colleges in the Kingdom and contributed to providing them with legal and practical skills.   The 8th Constituent Judicial Session for Military Prosecution officers features practical and theoretical training on judicial, investigative and military trial procedures, as well as practical and theoretical lectures in the field of international humanitarian law and human rights in cooperation with all legal and judicial authorities in the Kingdom.
