Acting US Defence Secretary hails late HRH Prince Khalifa’s ‘powerful legacy’

Washington, Nov. 13 (BNA): Acting US Secretary of Defence, Chris Miller, said that the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa had left a “powerful legacy” that deserves every appreciation and will always be remembered. In a statement following the passing of HRH Prince Khalifa, Miller recalled the deceased’s contributions to forging the Bahrain-US defence cooperation, noting that “Bahrain’s hosting of the US Fifth Fleet for nearly a quarter century, for which we are continually grateful, is an example of the deep ties our nations developed during the course of HRH Prince Khalifa’s tenure.” “I also look forward to continuing the Department’s close relationship with HRH Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa in his new role as Prime Minister,” he added. Chris Miller extended condolences to the members of the Royal Family and the Bahraini people following the demise of HRH Prince Khalifa.
