Activities to mark Wildlife Protection Day
RATCHABURI, Dec 20 (TNA) – Various activities will be held to raise awareness on wildlife conservation at the Khao Prathap Chang Wildlife Breeding Research Station in Ratchaburi to mark the National Wildlife Protection Day on Dec 26.
Prateep Hermpayak , chief of Ban Phachi Wildlife Conservatory Area said the event will be held at the Khao Prathap Chang Wildlife Breeding Research Station in Chom Bueng district under cooperation of many agencies.
In the morning, a parade will march for about ten kilometres from Tham Chompol arboretum to the Khao Prathap Chang Wildlife Breeding Research Station to promote this year’s slogan “Stop Eating, Stop Hunting, Stop Trading Wildlife”.
At the wildlife breeding station, an exhibition will be held and children will be allowed to see baby tigers closely to cultivate a sense of love for nature in the young people. A learning base will teach them on how to take care of animals correctly and legally.
At the open zoo exhibition zone, tourists can see camels, deer, barking deer, hog deer, serows and a tame bear.
There will be performances on the stage and consultant service about wildlife health will be offered by veterinarians. (TNA)
