Acts from Europe and Middle East lined up for Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival

SHARJAH, 11th April, 2017 (WAM) -- An international line up is on the cards for this year’s Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival, SCRF, one of the region’s leading cross-cultural events celebrating worldwide literature for children and young people. With acts catering to the full spectrum of ages, from kindergarten to young adults, the ninth edition of the festival, themed ‘Discover Beyond’, aims to educate, entertain and inform. SCRF, organised by the Sharjah Book Authority, will take place from 19th to 29th April at Expo Centre Sharjah, and will provide festival-goers with a one-off opportunity to see memorable acts and shows from Italy, the UK, Ukraine, and the GCC. Eman Ahmed, General Coordinator of SCRF’s activities, said that the performances are a key part of the festival.
