Aeroflot, S7 airlines change air routes to bypass Ukraine

MOSCOW, March 13 (Itar-Tass) - The Aeroflot and S7 airline companies have changed their air routes running south; both airline companies have been performing flights, bypassing Ukraine's air space, spokesmen for both companies told Itar-Tass. According to the data of the FlightRadar 24, which monitors flights in the air, by 3.00 pm Moscow time Thursday two Aeroflot flights - SU-2441 Antalya-Moscow and SU2137 Istanbul- Moscow, had been following longer air routes to bypass the air space of Ukraine. The Aeroflot flight Su1821 Simferopol- Moscow, delayed for twenty minutes, took off at 2.32 pm Moscow time and continued the flight, bypassing Ukraine's air space as well. Flights by the S7 airline company to Anapa (1123) and Simferopol (165), which normally fly over part of Ukraine's territory, have bypassed Ukraine on Thursday as well. "The airline company is entitled to use any official air route for its flights," Aeroflot said on its official site in the Twitter. The other Russian airline companies have still been using previous air routes across the territory of Ukraine.
