Ahmadinejad opens Intl. Holy Quran Exhibition

TEHRAN,July 7(MNA) -- The 21st International Holy Quran Exhibition was inaugurated by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla on Friday. Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini and a group culture figures attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition, which has showcased artworks on the theme of the Holy Quran and some other cultural productions on the holy book. Speaking at the ceremony Ahmadinejad said, “Human beings will find perfect happiness when they use teachings of the Holy Quran in their lives and thoughts.” “Struggle for reaching the peak of perfection and true happiness is the most important task, which has been given by God to man, who needs the two wings of imam and Quran to achieve it,” he added. “The Holy Quran maps out the way to perfection and true happiness and also shows how to develop the divine human abilities,” he stated. A group of Quran activists was honored by Ahmadinejad at the end of the ceremony. This year’s exhibit has been organized in over 40 sections. A number of Quranic periodicals, which are being published in the country will be put on display in a new section. In addition, groups of clerics and experts on Quranic issues have been assigned to hold discussions and also to provide consultations for visitors during the exhibition, which runs until August 4.
