AIPU Sec. Gen. to QNA: ''Arab Spring Is an impetus to the Palestinian Cause''

Doha, February 27 (QNA) -Arab Inter-parliamentary Union (AIPU) Secretary General, Noureddine Bou Kachouj has emphasized that "the Arab Spring revolutions would give more impetus to the issue of Al Quds in general and the Palestinian cause in particular, thus such an impetus would be a turning point in the case." In an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) published here on Monday, Bou Kachouj said, "I could assure that any movement in any Arab country resulting in giving the lead to its people will ultimately be in favour of Al Quds and the Palestinian cause. Even if adjourned for several months until the Arab spring countries could internally stabilize their conditions, the outcomes of the Arab Spring will be 100 % in favour of Al Quds, Bou Kachouj added. Touching on whether the rise of the Islamists in Palestine will contribute to serving the Palestinian cause, the AIPU Secretary General said, "the Palestinian cause is the main concern to all Arab and Islamic communities equally and is not limited to a specific group solely." He described as ''a good idea'' , the proposal of HH the Emir Shiekh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani to head to the Security Council for issuing a resolution to form an interntional fact-finding commission to investigate into the Israeli procedures designed for the judaization of Al Quds. "The Security Council is considered a paramount international stage, we are aware of the obstacles that we will face with the Veto process however we should fight in all arenas of which, and most importantly, the Security Council is one of them.", the AIPU secretary general affirmed. In terms of the financial support to the people of Al Quds to consolidate their steadfastness in face of the israeli occupation , Bou Kachouj stressed the need to act at the official and public directions , calling meantime upon all the governments and the civil society organizations , the charity societies and the political events or activities in the Arab and Islamic world to support the Palestinians financially, to help them stand in face of the Israeli occupation.
