Air Defence Wing implements live fire exercise with Hawk missile

Abu Dhabi, Jan. 22 (BNA): The Royal Bahrain Air Force (RBAF) - Air Defence Wing - today successfully carried out a live fire exercise with Hawk missiles at a Shooting Range at Al Macatra, Abu Dhabi. RBAF’s Commander Air Vice-Marshal Shaikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and UAE Air Force and Air Defence’s Commander Air Vice-Marshal Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi attended the exercise, which was within the framework of joint military cooperation between the two air forces. The joint live fire exercise reflects the Air Defence Wing's capably to hit targets with high accuracy. It promotes field expertise, joint air defence planning and coordination, in addition to raising military efficiency and combat readiness. The implementation of the exercise in the United Arab Emirates highlights the strength of the bilateral relations supported by keenness of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and UAE President HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to further boost them in various fields.
