AirAsia Launches Books Authored By Pilots

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- AirAsia Bhd has launched two books authored by its pilots, Captain Lim Khoy Hing and Captain Monika Anggreini, in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of AirAsia’s inflight magazine, “travel 3Sixty”. The books titled “Sky Tales: More Insights from a Life in the Skies” and “Iron Bird Monika”. Captain Lim’s book provides a collection of tips, anecdotes and insights into his distinguished flying career penned down in an entertaining and enlightening style. On the other hand, Iron Bird Monika depicts a tale of courage and willpower that follows the remarkable journey of Captain Monika in becoming a female captain. AirAsia Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tony Fernandes said AirAsia had always motivated its staffs to pursue their passion and dream. “Who says you can’t be a pilot and a writer at the same time? I am proud that we have two incredible captains under out wings that have done exactly this, to not only achieve their dreams of publishing books but to inspire others,” he said at the book launch here today.
