Al Azhar Grand Imam meets Supreme Judicial Council Deputy President

Manama, Nov. 6 (BNA): His Eminence Sheikh of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, received today at his residence in the Kingdom of Bahrain Deputy President of the Supreme Judicial Council, President of the Court of Cassation, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa. HE Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb underlined the role of the judiciary in promoting justice as one of the pillars of protecting rights, backing the international efforts and achieving sustainable development. He stressed the significant role of the Supreme Judicial Council in protecting rights and liberties as well as public and private properties. Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa praised the efforts of Al Azhar Mosque and the Muslim Council of Elders, under the chairmanship of HE the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, in promoting the Islamic values of moderation and peace. He praised Dr Ahmed Al Tayeb’s speech in the concluding session of Bahrain Dialogue Forum and his constructive calls for dialogue and peace.
