Al-Azhar Grand Imam receives UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence

Manama, Nov.3 (BNA): Al-Azhar Grand Imam, His Eminence Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, the Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, received at his residence, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. Dr. El-Tayeb hailed scientific, religious and cultural relations binding Al Azhar and the United Arab Emirates, lauded the UAE leaders' efforts to foster the values of fraternity and tolerance and advocate Arab and Islamic causes. The UAE minister commended Al-Azhar Grand Imam's efforts which contributed to correcting concepts about the Islamic religion, showing the truth of our true religion. He also hailed the work of the Council of Muslim Elders, chaired by Dr. El-Tayeb, to promote human brotherhood, spread the tolerant Islam and combat hate speech.
