Al-Hurr congratulates workers

Manama, May 1 (BNA): The Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation (Al-Hurr) has congratulated workers in Bahrain, including citizens and residents, marking the International Workers' Day.
In a statement on the occasion, Al-Hurr extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the patron of the celebrations of the International Workers' Day in Bahrain, and to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
Al-Hurr expressed pride in its achievements over the past eight years, noting that it has contributed to improving the conditions of workers, ensuring their rights and maintaining their gains.
It has also participated in discussing international reports on civil and political rights, the statement also said.
Al-Hurr expressed pride in representing the kingdom at the meetings of major international labour gatherings, citing the conference of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), and its success in highlighting Bahrain’s honourable record in the labour field, in addition to its unprecedented trade union freedoms.
The Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation called on workers in Bahrain to celebrate the International Workers’ Day as a national day, and to start a new year of dedication in order to increase productivity and enhance the kingdom’s progress march.
It also called on them to contribute actively to the national action march, in line with HM the King’s Reform Project stipulating that everyone should be dedicated in the service of the nation.
Al-Hurr also extended congratulations to Arab workers and others in the world marking the occasion, vowing to do its utmost to defend workers’ rights, in collaboration with Arab and international trade unions.
