Al Jazeera Channel’s hostile media campaign against Bahrain condemned

Manama, Mar.7 (BNA): Civil society institutions and leading public figures strongly condemned the hostile media campaign orchestrated by Qatari Al Jazeera TV Channel against the Kingdom of Bahrain. “The misleading campaign led by this channel against the people of Bahrain through false media reports is carried out selectively, beyond any media professionalism, ignoring human rights issues in certain locations and countries”, they said. In a statement today, they denounced the channel which which uses the media as a cover to target the cohesion of the people of Bahrain, highlighting the the blacj record of the politicised Al-Jazeera in undermining countries, supporting extremism and financing terrorism. They said that the channel is adamant on targeting Bahrain systematically to tarnish its image by spreading false allegations and lies which are belied by reality, condemning the blatant interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs. They blasted the channel which ignores Intentionally Bahrain’s wide-ranging ahievements, development strides and honorable international presence in the relevant international organizations, including membership of the World Council for Human Rights over three sessions. “This Qatar-sponsored channel has to understand that all these desperate fallacies only increase our determination and patriotism and allegiance to the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa”, said the statement.
