Al-Jazeera covers up Doha regime’s failure to build viable institutions

Manama, Dec.28 (BNA): The Qatari Al-Jazeera has lost all credibility and ability to influence or shape public opinion, said Shura Council member Bassam Al-Binmohammed, slamming the Doha-funded channel which broadcast misleading programmes and fallacies about the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He said that the role of the channel consists merely in easing the pressure on Doha regime and covering up its problems and failure to achieve, except squandering the wealth of the brotherly people of Qatar on subversive adventures and designs in the region.
“The Qatari regime persisted in attacking Bahrain and targeting the rights, interests and safety of its people”, he said slamming the channel which hosts convicts and fugitives in Iran to speak about Bahraini fishermen, in a heinous and failed attempt to absolve the disgraceful role played by the Qatari regime, which is guilty of shooting and killing Bahraini fishermen.
He exposed the role played by Al-Jazeera in covering up the Qatari regime’s failure to build viable and effective local institutions that deserve to be opened for cooperation with other countries who boast successful practices, including the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He refuted the allegations of Al-Jazeera, pointing out the British Secretary of State for the Home Department, who visited Bahrain to take part in the "Manama Dialogue" got a taste of Bahrain's security and human rights strides.
Contrary to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Qatari regime is facing charges on several levels for its role in supporting and financing terrorism, which prompted the American administration to send officials to oversee the Qatari financial system's procedures.
The US Administration wanted also to ensure that the Qatari regime will fulfill its promises by improving its weak laws and procedures in combating and preventing the financing and harboring of terrorism.
“There is still a long way ahead for them to succeed in building effective national institutions and have an honorable record of distinguished practices that deserve to be shared with friendly and allied countries” said the Shura Council member.
He called on the Doha regime to benefit from the successful Bahraini models in good governance and building viable and effective institutions instead of squandering the money and rights of the brotherly Qatari people to cover up their failure and their negative role in the region.
