Al-Raya, Al-Sharq: Qatar-Tunisia Relations an Example of Brotherly Relations, Mutual Cooperation
Doha, November 15 (QNA) - Al-Raya and Al-Sharq newspapers hailed in their Sunday editorials the visit of HE President of the Republic of Tunisia Kais Saied to Doha and stressed that this visit is a good opportunity to strengthen strategic relations in all fields, as well as discuss issues of common interest. It reflects the keenness of the leaderships in the two countries to develop relations to wider horizons.
The Tunisian President's visit is of great and strategic importance, as it is the second visit by HE President Kais Saied to an Arab country since he assumed office. Its importance stems from the two leaders keenness to coordinate views and strengthen cooperation, especially since the relationship between Qatar and Tunisia is a model in cooperation between countries, the newspapers noted.
For its part, Al-Raya newspaper said in its editorial that this visit and the two leaders' talks will constitute a good opportunity to evaluate the various aspects of bilateral cooperation and the outcome of what has been accomplished and achieved on this path, especially in the economic, commercial and financial sectors or the field of partnership, investment and projects implemented by Qatar in Tunisia.
The importance of the Tunisian Presidents visit to Doha reflects Qatars position on the Tunisian diplomacy map. It also reflects the importance of Qatar and its wise leadership's role in its Arab and international surroundings at all levels, especially political and economic.
The State of Qatar is an important partner and strategic ally to Tunisia and the relationship between the leaderships and the people of the two countries has become a model for brotherhood and cooperation regionally and internationally. This was expressed by the two leaders during HH the Amir's visit to Tunisia at the beginning of this year, the newspaper said.
Al-Raya concluded by saying that the Qatari-Tunisian relations have always been deep and exceptional relations, characterized by growth and development in all fields. The paper noted that the mutual visits also reflect the keenness of the leaderships in the two brotherly countries to develop relations to broader horizons.
Since Tunisia's successful revolution in 2011, Qatar has stood by the Tunisian people until Tunisia achieved its noble goals in establishing the rule of law and the state of institutions, Al-Sharq said, adding that the distinguished relations between the two countries entered a new phase and that the Qatari-Tunisian summit would enhance coordination and mutual understanding towards the future and prospects of bilateral relations in all fields and their advancement.
The newspaper stated that the economy and investment constitute a important axis for joint cooperation, underlining that Qatar is first in the Arab region in investment and one of the most important financial and economic partners for the Tunisian Republic, which enjoys promising opportunities in various economic fields that would benefit the two countries and peoples.
Al-Sharq concluded its editorial by saying that Qatar and Tunisia show a common keenness to strengthen strategic cooperation in all fields, as well as share visions on a number of regional and international issues, which would strengthen cooperation and joint coordination, in light of Qatar's position in the regional arena thanks to its active diplomacy and Tunisia's role as the only Arab member of the UN Security Council.
