Al-Raya: Establishment of Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council Is Culmination of Historical, Deep-Rooted Relations

Doha, August 26 (QNA) - In its Thursday's editorial, Al-Raya newspaper affirmed that the establishment of the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council is a culmination of the historical and deep-rooted relations between the two brotherly countries. The newspaper noted the joint coordination between Doha and Riyadh, which has significant positive repercussions for the benefit of the two countries. These relations, the paper said, stem from the unity of goals and the common destiny, stressing that there is no doubt that the two countries constitute an important strategic dimension for each other, as well as for the Gulf region and the Middle East. In this regard, Al-Raya referred to the signing of the amended protocol for the establishment of the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council which is co-chaired by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and includes the membership of Their Highnesses and Their Excellencies high-ranking officials from the two brotherly countries. The signing of the amended protocol took place during a meeting between HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and HE Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Acting Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Saudi City of Neom on Wednesday, the paper added. The Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council affirms the endeavors of the two brotherly countries' leaderships to advance bilateral relations to broader horizons, in a way that achieves Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and meets the aspirations of the two countries' peoples. The newspaper pointed out that within the framework of joint coordination and strategic partnership between Doha and Riyadh, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani sent Wednesday a written message to HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, pertaining to the close fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them, as well as the most prominent regional and international developments. The message was handed over by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during his meeting on Wednesday with HRH Saudi Crown Prince at Neom city. The Qatari daily underlined that Doha and Riyadh are seeking to deepen the bonds of brotherhood between the two brotherly leaderships and peoples, especially at this delicate stage in the region, which requires consultation, coordination and cooperation between the two countries to serve their common interests, noting that the challenges facing the region and the world make it imperative for the two countries to Jointly work in various fields and deepen the approach of consultation and coordination in order to reach a common vision about how to deal with these challenges, and in a manner that achieves the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples. In conclusion, Al-Raya said that standing together to overcome challenges will spare the two brotherly countries and their peoples all the negative consequences that may result from them, especially since the two countries live in a turbulent Arab and Islamic surroundings, but the two wise leaderships were able to keep the two countries away from such turmoil, and maintain security and peace.
