Al-Sharq, Al-Watan Warn of Rising Tensions in Occupied Palestinian Territories

Doha, April 09 (QNA) - Al-Watan and Al-Sharq warned today in their editorials from rising tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories, in light of the occupation forces' continued aggression against the Palestinian people.
Al-Sharq said that the occupation forces' intensifying illegal settlement practices keep expanding one day after another. It criticized the international community's failure to act in the face of these violations, adding that it has a destabilizing impact on the region.
Al-Sharq concluded its editorial by saying that the recent attacks in Israel reflect the growing frustration among Palestinians, as a result of the occupation's escalation, and as a result of the absence of any scope of a resolution to the Palestinian issue that guarantees the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Al Quds as its capital.
Al-Watan meanwhile said that the Israeli Prime Minister has authorized security forces to eliminate Palestinian resistance, following an attack carried out by a Palestinian in Tel Aviv that left two people dead.
Al-Watan said that such an authorization means that Palestinians will face new rounds escalation from occupation forces and settlers, with no indication or prospects for peace. The paper noted that Thursday's attack was the fourth of its kind over the past two weeks, and left 13 dead that included 11 Israelis. The paper noted that all these attacks were individual in nature, with no planning from the traditional Palestinian factions.
Al-Watan concluded by saying that there will be no stability if Palestinians do not get their legitimate rights of an independent state with Al Quds as its capital. (QNA)
