Al-Sharq Stresses Strength of Relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Rwanda

Doha, June 25 (QNA) - Al-Sharq newspaper, in its editorial today, emphasized the strength of relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Rwanda, which reflects the status that Doha has achieved in terms of its multilateral cooperation and its role in promoting security, stability and global peace, and its partnerships that bring prosperity to brotherly and friendly peoples. The newspaper noted the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to the friendly Republic of Rwanda, and his participation in the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Kigali, in addition to His Highness’ meetings with Commonwealth Heads of Government, and exchanging views with a number of them on common future issues, and the high appreciation of His Highness’s visit as a very special guest of the Commonwealth, as a friend and partner of many leaders of the group’s countries that have deep historical relations with the State of Qatar. Al-Sharq pointed out that HE President of the friendly Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame, whose relations are witnessing a steady development with Doha, stressed the position that the State of Qatar has reached under the leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, where he noted that it is at the fore in finding solutions to many of the most pressing challenges, from energy security to humanitarian response in the Middle East and the global war against corruption. The newspaper pointed out that HH the Amir is an honorable guest in Cairo, which he is visiting at the official invitation of his brother, President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. HH the Amir's visit to Cairo is the culmination of the process of normalizing bilateral relations and taking them to broader horizons. Al-Sharq concluded by saying that His Highness' visit to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, and the warm reception, reflects the will and determination of the leadership in the two countries and the strong common desire to launch a new phase of strengthening relations and cooperation in all fields, to serve the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
