Al-Watan Affirms HH the Amir's s Keenness to Strengthen Relations with Saudi Arabia, Austria

Doha, March 08 (QNA) - Al-Watan newspaper underlined in its editorial Tuesday HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's keenness to strengthen relations between the State of Qatar and both the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Austria. In this regard, the paper stressed the importance of His Highness' continuous talks with senior officials of brotherly and friendly countries, in order to work to spread an atmosphere of security, peace and stability, and to protect world peace. The newspaper pointed out that HH the Amir reviewed with HRH Deputy Minister of Defense of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the solid fraternal relations between the two countries and prospects for their development. The paper emphasized that His Highnesss talks with the Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense came to reflect the depth of the relations between the two brotherly countries and the common interest in strengthening and developing these fraternal relations, in the interest of the two countries and peoples that share deep and strong ties. Al-Watan also highlighted His Highness' talks Monday morning with the HE Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Karl Nehammer, on bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them, especially areas of joint cooperation in the economic sectors, as well as the latest regional and international developments. The newspaper said that HH the Amir's talks with the Chancellor of the Republic of Austria come in light of global developments that require consultation and coordination, in order to work to create an atmosphere of security and stability and protect international peace principles for which Qatar has long adhered, out of its belief in the principle of consolidating international peace and security by promoting the resolution of international disputes through dialogue and peaceful means. Concluding, Al-Watan affirmed Qatar's great keenness to develop and strengthen its relations with brotherly and friendly countries in order to meet the aspirations, and all that would enhance the security and stability of the region and the world.
