Al-Watan, Al-Sharq Stress Importance of Strengthening Cooperation Between Qatar, Guinea-Bissau

Doha, March 14 (QNA) - Daily newspapers Al-Watan and Al-Sharq affirmed in their Monday editorials that the State of Qatar plays an effective political and economic role to support joint action with the countries of the African continent, especially at the level of economic and investment relations that benefit countries and peoples, especially the service of peace and sustainable development. The newspapers referred to the official talks session held by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo on Sunday, in which the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and aspects of developing them in various fields, especially in the field of investment and economy, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common interest. Al-Watan said that the relations between Qatar and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau are growing, especially in the economic and investment fields. The strengthening of relations between the two countries also contributes to Qatars keenness to strengthen ties with countries of the African continent, especially at the level of economic and investment relations that benefit countries and peoples, in the service of peace and sustainable development. Diplomatic relations between Qatar and Guinea-Bissau were established in July 1992, Al-Watan pointed out, adding that the two countries have growing relations of cooperation, which will grow stronger and more firmly established in order to achieve the common interests of the two countries and to achieve common goals in terms of achieving security, peace and sustainable development. The paper praised the strong pioneering role that Qatar plays in complex regional and international files, as it has achieved great successes over the past years, and was able to reach satisfying conclusions for many crises and conflicts, especially in the African continent. Concluding, Al-Watan noted the great Qatari keenness to spread an atmosphere of security and stability on the African continent, enable its countries to engage in a broad development process that would open the way to benefiting from their enormous potential, and create an atmosphere of security and stability that will be in the interest of world peace as a whole. For its part, Al-Sharq newspaper affirmed in its Monday editorial that the State of Qatar plays an active political and economic role to support joint work with the countries of the African continent, especially in the field of economic and investment relations that benefit the countries and peoples. The newspaper concluded its editorial by saying that the active Qatari diplomacy works to support stability, bring peace and resolve conflicts in Africa, explaining that Qatar continues to implement the strategy of achieving economic diversification and openness to the world's economies.
