Al-Watan Appreciates Ministry of Education and Higher Education's Considerable Efforts

Doha, July 26 (QNA) - In its Monday's editorial, Al-Watan daily newspaper expressed its appreciation for the great and the considerable efforts made by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the State of Qatar to confront the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and mitigate its negative effects in the field of education. The newspaper said that the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has taken the decision to implement the distance learning system, in a smooth and easy way, in light of exceptional circumstances faced by the whole world, thanks to its electronic platforms and digital resources infrastructure, in addition to trained human cadres and students who have the skills to deal with the system, with the precautionary measures to preserve the health and safety of students and workers in schools and universities. The paper praised the great efforts of the Ministry of Education in continuing innovation in order to reach curricula that meet the highest and most advanced standards, noting that it pays great and special attention to Arabic language, Qatari history, Islamic education subjects, in order to teach the national, Arab and Islamic concepts to the students in private, international and community schools that offer 30 different educational curricula. In conclusion, Al-Watan said that what the Ministry is doing in order to promote the values of citizenship and pride in the local culture is commendable, in light of this pandemic that did not prevent the ministry from continuing its efforts at all levels, to achieve a distinct quality learning that is appreciated by all.
