Almaty, 22 October 2008, (Khabar) - Almaty city authorities summed up
results of social and economic development of megapolis during 9 months of
the current year. During this period tempo of development reduced and
experts connect it with negative processes in the world. Despite the
complicacy of economic situation, city budget is still socially oriented
one. And we can see tendency of inflation reducing. The number of
entrepreneurs is rising. Mayor of Almaty, Akhmetzhan Yesimov assured the
megapolis can endure this period and gradually will begin developing. Timely
and large-scale measures on stabilization of economy will assist to rise
economy. The mayor said the main is transparency, quick work and
effectiveness in budget spending.
