Ambassador of Bahrain meets Bundestag group member

Berlin, Dec. 1 (BNA): Ambassador of Bahrain to Germany, Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah, met member of the parliamentary group of Arabic speaking states in Middle East, member of the committee on transport and digital infrastructure, member of the young group of the CDU/CSU Bundestag Group, Dr. Christoph Ploss. The ambassador hailed the strong relations and cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Federal Republic of Germany in all fields. He also noted the parliamentary and municipality elections turnout of 67% this year, which was a result of the reform approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, adding that it reflects the awareness of the Bahraini society who voted from inside the Kingdom and abroad. The ambassador highlighted the achievements of the Kingdom in the field of women empowerment, stating that the Kingdom’s experience in this field has become a regional and international model. He also reviewed the Kingdom’s pioneering experience in the field of tolerance, coexistence and diversity of religions, noting the role of King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence in this regard. In the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest as well as means to reinforce cooperation in the parliamentary field and between young parliamentarians of the two friendly countries.
